In May of 2020 I was awarded a highly competitive COVID-19 response grant from The City of Melbourne. The resulting project was a moving image work that reflected on life during the pandemic.

The film, ‘Strangers’ is a short animated reflection on what constitutes community. In the film we listen as 2 friends talk on the phone. As they discuss the concept of missing people they see everyday but don’t know we are shown scenes of empty cities, and eventually the abstracted faces of our community.
