‘As a queer person my life is often politicised by people trying to ‘other’ me, simply for the way I love. I’m now entering my villain era, where I’m just leaning into it. It makes me feel like such a rebel to know that my very existence is a threat to the moral fabric of some strangers universe. The key is to focus on the fact that the really fun stuff is the stuff that worries them the most.

I wanted this work to claim the absurdity of said politicisation, while also not flinching away from the realities of my life. So lets all have a very civilised cup of tea, acknowledge that our existence is still political, and do it all with our dicks out - because we aren’t going to back down from who we are.’

- James

Each work is initialed in the artists signature style in the bottom corner of the work, and signed by the artist and dated on the back. The painting is shipped pre strung and ready to hang.

The work is a certified one off artwork hand painted by the artist in his studio in Melbourne Australia in 2024, never to be reproduced.
